Job Description

Sr. Network Engineer-Architect. CCIE, salary: 103k-105k. Nashville area, TN

Job Description:
The Sr. Network Engineer - Architect, while reporting to the Network Services Sr. Manager, will maintain current working knowledge of industry best of breed solutions for enterprise-level network and related solutions; lead design and implementation efforts for corporate and remote network infrastructure, including the retail and global networks; participate as a leading member of the IT Architecture Committee; develop high-level and detailed documentation, including architectural and procedural documents; implement and support a variety of network and related infrastructure systems; provide top-level technical solution support; provide direct support for departmental leadership activities and provide systems expertise and technical support requiring in-depth understanding in a breadth of technologies and disciplines. 

Duties and Responsibilities 
• Architectural design and documentation of the company's global network infrastructure, including corporate, retail, and remote infrastructure. 
• Participate as a leading member of the IT Architecture Committee to help design scalable, enterprise-level solutions for networks, operating systems, databases, and applications. 
• Implement and support a variety of network and related infrastructure systems. 
• Provide top-level technical solution support. 
• Provide direct support for departmental leadership activities. 
• Manage and support a breadth of network technologies, including routers, firewalls, wireless solutions, multicastsolutions, WAN technologies, etc. 
• Ensure IT Infrastructure processes, procedures and technology support the protection of IT assets from unauthorized access. 
• Manage in-scope networks and systems in accordance with the formal change management procedures and processes. 
• Provide support for basic budgeting and procurement processes. 
• Provide timely status reports regarding projects and activities. 
Qualifications 
• Expert-level understanding of network architecture and solutions, with a focus on Cisco solutions. 
• Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting networks in enterprise-level organizations. 
• Very strong written and oral communication skills. 
• Experience designing and supporting Voice over IP solutions. 
• Expertise with a breadth of network technologies, including routers, firewalls, wireless solutions, multicast solutions, WAN technologies, etc. 
• Ability to work and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences. 
• Ability to maintain current working knowledge of related hardware, software, solutions, and processes. 
• Experience participating in large, complex projects. 
• Experience with overseeing basic budgeting and procurement processes. 
• Experience working with third parties (contractors/consultants). 
• Experience with coordinating internal and external auditing efforts in order to meet compliance requirements for network security related procedures, processes and activities. 
• Ability to function as the highest point of escalation for network-related issues. 
• Able to be a team player and to be customer-service focused. 
• Strong problem solving and technical troubleshooting skills. 
Experience and/or Education 
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) strongly preferred. 
• Seven to ten years IT experience required. 
• Three to five years experience architecting and engineering enterprise-level network infrastructure required. 
• Extensive knowledge and experience with designing, implementing, and supporting technical solutions required. 
• Three to five years experience participating in formal projects required. 
• Cisco CCIE certification strongly preferred. 
Compensation will consist of a competitive salary based on your experience, with bonus potential. 
Candidates Must Have:
§  Experience designing and supporting Voice over IP solutions.
§  Expertise with network technologies including routers, firewalls, wireless solutions, multicast solutions, WAN technologies, etc.
