OpenText Admin (12 month contract)


Desired Start Date:  September 19, 2011
Term:  12 Months

Preferred Skills: Our Downtown Los Angeles Client is seeking OpenText Admin for an immediate position opening. 12 Month Contract Position.Candidate needs 3-5 years’ experience as an ECM administrator with OpenText product suite, should have at least 200 users and comfortable with all the components in the OpenText Live-link product suite.

Responsibilities:· Provides Technical and Functional Administrative support and troubleshooting
· Provided technical review of problems, known issues, usability and admin errors
· Break-fix troubleshooting/resolution
· Implement bug fixes and/or workarounds
· Advise, where possible, The Company 1st Level Support team with the delivery of OT Product Support.
· Review and advise on FAQ and other help desk documentation where possible.
· Escalates Level 3 issues to the Open Text Customer Support Organization (Level 3)

· Functional Administrative tasks include the management of existing or creation of new:
- Additions of users either via synchronization or manual methods.
- Creation of Search Slices
- Supporting the Projects Team in the creation or troubleshooting of workflow maps
- Creation of LiveReports and WebReports (see Assumptions)
- Assistance with Appearances/Libraries/User Groups/Users
- Assistance with Categories and Attributes
- Restoring items from Recycle Bin
· Capacity Planning t to help ensure capacity meets or exceeds usage demands with deployment growth.
· Providing utilities and associated knowledge transfer to Super Users that allow for streamlined user, group, and permission administration. (Permission Viewer and Deleted User Cleanup)
· Regular Capacity Status Checks (disk space, CPU, and RAM)
· Will review Company’s backup and restore policies and provide recommendations based on Open Text best practices and their experience
· Work with Company Infrastructure team to prepare the Open Text ECM Suite environment for backup procedures and will assist with restoration
· Technical Consultants will maintain Company’s related support documentation continuing to define, refine and document Standard Operating Procedures as they relate to daily, weekly, and monthly administration activities for the Open Text ECM Suite solution deployed.
